• Account information: email address and a password hash for authentication.
• Location & provider preferences: ZIP code and TV provider so we can show exact local channel numbers.
• Favorite teams & watchlist: the teams, shows, and movies you follow so we can surface relevant listings and alerts.
• Viewing preferences: streaming subscriptions you select to filter what you can watch.
• Anonymous device identifier: a random ID stored on your device to prevent duplicate votes on community features.

How we use your data

We use your information strictly to deliver the TunedTV service:

• Personalize the “where to watch” experience with your actual local channels.
• Send alerts you have explicitly opted into (game start times, new episodes, watchlist updates).
• Improve content recommendations based on your favorite teams and tracked titles.
• Support community features such as confirming broadcast channels and voting on listings.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted partners to power parts of the app. Here is who sees what:

• Supabase — handles authentication and stores your profile data in a secure database.
• TMDB (The Movie Database) — provides movie and show metadata, posters, and descriptions.
• ESPN API — powers live sports schedules, scores, and broadcast information.
• OMDb — supplies IMDb ratings and additional title metadata.
• Amazon Associates — affiliate links to streaming services; Amazon may track clicks per their own privacy policy.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the service providers listed above so TunedTV can function.

Analytics & anonymous data

We may collect anonymous usage statistics (such as feature popularity or error rates) to improve the app. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Your rights

You are in control of your data:

• Delete your account: from the Profile page you can permanently delete your account and all associated data.
• Export your data: contact us below and we will provide a copy of your stored information.
• Update preferences: you can change your ZIP code, provider, favorites, and tracked titles at any time.
• Opt out of alerts: disable any alert from the Alerts page or per-team settings.
